Innovating the pathology lab of Reinier de Graaf hospital

Over the past few months, 3Delft has been proudly working together with the pathology laboratory of Reinier de Graaf hospital in Delft. By making solutions for the transportation and storage of sampled tissues, the lab is now safer, user-friendlier and more efficient.

When sampled tissue needs to be examined, it is first received by the pathology lab to process the specimen for microscopic examination. These processed specimen need to be stored and transferred frequently whilst securely administrating its specifications. Our designers developed fitting solutions for the lab by closely communicating with the employees to truly understand the situation. Iterations can be made rapidly thanks to 3D printing. After finding the perfect design, the model is 3D printed in large quantities to quickly replace the old system.
