Boots With Roots

With 3D printing, almost anything is possible — the possibilities are truly endless. From prototypes to custom designs, every idea can take shape in a unique and tangible way. Iris Erkelens has showed this with her exhibition at the Atrium, City Hall, The Hague. 3Delft is proud to have supported the ‘Boots with Roots’ exhibition by Spatial Motion! Even the most complex shapes can be printed quickly and precisely at 3Delft – and we were truly impressed by the result achieved by designer Iris Erkelens. The artist has created a beautiful piece, and we’re proud to have supported this project and to see how wonderfully it has turned out.

The Boots with Roots is a tribute to growing connections in The Hague. It celebrates 15 years of The Hague International Centre and serves as a symbolic representation of the journey of settling into a new city. The boots are designed with care: elegant, slender roots that stretch downward with grace, yet remain firmly grounded. They represent the strength and beauty of building a life in The Hague — whether you're here for a short stay or planting roots for the long term.

The exhibition was on display at the Atrium, City Hall, The Hague.
